6 Indian players took 10 wickets in an innings, one's Test career ended in just 3 months

Haryana's fast bowler Anshul Kamboj created history on the Lahli ground. Anshul single-handedly destroyed the entire Kerala team in the first innings. Anshul took all 10 wickets of Kerala and became the first bowler from Haryana and the sixth bowler of the country to achieve this feat in Ranji Trophy history. Anshul is the third bowler to take 10 wickets in an innings of a Ranji Trophy match. After 39 years, a bowler has achieved this feat in Ranji Trophy. He is the first player to do this in Indian first class cricket after 2001. Now let us tell you which 6 Indian players have done the magic of taking all 10 wickets in first class cricket.

These 6 Indian players took all 10 wickets

The first Indian bowler to take 10 wickets in an innings was Subhash Gupte who took 10 wickets in an innings against PCS Bhawalpur XI while playing for Mumbai. After this, in 1957, another Indian bowler achieved this feat and breaking his record is not only difficult but impossible. In 1957, Premansu Chatterjee took 10 wickets for just 20 runs against Assam while playing for Bengal.

In 1978, Rajasthan bowler Pradeep Sundaram achieved the feat of taking 10 wickets for 78 runs against Vidarbha in 1985. In 1999, Anil Kumble achieved the feat of taking 10 wickets in international cricket. He created history in 1999 by taking 10 wickets for 74 runs in the Delhi Test against Pakistan.

Former Team India fast bowler Devashish Mohanty has also achieved the feat of taking 10 wickets in an innings. In 2001, he took 10 wickets for just 46 runs against South Zone. The interesting thing about Devashish Mohanty is that this player was able to play only 2 Test matches for Team India. Devashish Mohanty made his Test debut for Team India on 9 August 1997 and in November 1997 itself, he played his last Test in Mohali.
