A player from Rinku Singh's state faced death for his friend and made a mark in the Paralympics by measuring 65.62 meters with one hand

 

Players from Uttar Pradesh have excelled in almost every sport. In cricket, this state has given the country players like Suresh Raina and Rinku Singh. Ajit Singh Yadav, who shined in the Paris Paralympics, also hails from this state. Ajit Singh is as good at his game as his friendship is true. He has even faced death for his friend. His life was saved by a whisker in that accident. But he had to lose one hand. But see his bravery that now he has hoisted the tricolor in the Paralympics with just one hand.

India won the silver medal by measuring 65.62 meters of land with one hand

Ajeet Singh has won a silver medal for India in the men's javelin throw F46 event at the Paris Paralympics. He won a silver medal for the country in this event held on 3 September. Ajeet Singh has achieved this success by covering a distance of 65.62 meters with his javelin.

Lost left hand while saving friend's life

In the Paris Paralympics, Ajeet Singh wrote the script of his success by throwing the javelin with his right hand. He does not have his left hand. He had lost that hand while saving his friend's life in an accident that happened in 2017. That hand of his was cut off after being hit by a train. Ajeet Singh does not have the part of his left hand below the elbow. After the accident, Ajeet Singh was treated. He underwent rehab and after just 4 months, he participated in the Para Athletic Senior Nationals held in Panchkula, Haryana in 2018.

Ajeet Singh stepped into the international level in 2019. He participated in the 7th Para Athletics Grand Prix held in Beijing, China, and won the gold medal. After this, he won bronze in the 2019 World Para Athletics Championship and qualified for the Tokyo Paralympics. Ajeet Singh failed to win a medal in Tokyo. But, he did not disappoint Indian fans in Paris.

Ajit Singh was born in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh in 1993. He studied in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Currently, he is pursuing PhD in Physical Education and Sports from LNIPE, Gwalior.
