With this, the Indian women's team has confirmed its place in the semi-finals. This match also saw rain interruptions during India's innings, resulting in play being reduced to 15 overs per side.

During this match, the Indian women's team was successful in scoring 173 runs in the stipulated 15 overs. However, heavy rain arrived after just two balls in Malaysia's innings and as a result, the match was abandoned. With the incessant rain showing no signs of stopping, the umpires decided to abandon the game. Now Team India will play in the semi-finals on 24 September.

Shefali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues shine with the bat

Talking about India's batting performance against Malaysia, the opening partnership of captain Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma laid the foundation for an excellent start. Both of them made a partnership of 57 runs for the first wicket. Before returning to the pavilion, Mandhana contributed 27 runs in 16 balls.

Star player Jemimah Rodrigues, who came in at number three, wasted no time in increasing the run rate by playing a fast innings. Meanwhile, Shefali Verma continued her aggressive batting. There was a partnership of 86 runs on 47 balls between the two for the second wicket. Shefali Verma played a brilliant innings in this match and scored 67 runs in 39 balls before getting out.

From there Richa Ghosh joined Jemimah Rodrigues and the two made a partnership of 30 runs in just 12 balls for the third wicket. Team India managed to reach the score of 173 runs at the loss of two wickets in 15 overs. Jemimah scored an unbeaten 47 runs in 29 balls, while Richa contributed an unbeaten 21 runs in 7 balls.
