Before leaving BCCI, Jai Shah made a big announcement, money would rain on Indian cricketers

Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Jay Shah may soon leave this post. There are reports that BCCI's in-charge Jay Shah is now going to become the boss of world cricket. The term of the current chairman of the International Cricket Council, Greg Barclay, is coming to an end and Jay Shah is almost certain to replace him. Now when this decision is taken, it will be clear in the coming days, but before leaving, Jay Shah has arranged more money in the pockets of Indian cricketers. The BCCI secretary has announced a reward in domestic cricket, which will benefit women cricketers as well as junior and senior men's cricketers.

BCCI secretary Shah informed about the new decision of the board through a post on 'X' on Monday, August 26. He said that now the board will also give money as prize money to the players who win the Player of the Match award and Player of the Tournament award in all women's tournaments in domestic cricket and all junior cricket tournaments. Not only this, but prize money will also be given along with such awards in the two most important tournaments of senior men's cricket, the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament. Prize money has already been given in the Ranji Trophy.

This decision of Jai Shah will increase the earnings of domestic cricketers and will inspire more and more players to improve their performance. The BCCI secretary also explained the reason for this decision. He said that with this decision the board wants to recognize and reward the good performance of domestic cricketers. He also thanked the Apex Council of BCCI for passing this decision and also said to continue the effort to create a good environment for the cricketers of the country.

In the last 3-4 years, BCCI has worked to increase the earnings of players in men's teams as well as women's cricket and domestic cricket. Earlier this year, the board announced an increase in the match fees of players playing more and more matches to promote Test cricket. Two years ago, the board announced to make the match fees of women players equal to that of male players in international matches of all three formats. Earlier, the board had also almost doubled the match fees of players playing Ranji Trophy.
