The next three matches will be against India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, out of which they will have to lose two matches.

This will leave Australia with 8 points and Sri Lanka with only 6 points. If New Zealand does not perform well and loses the next two matches, its 10 points will remain. Meanwhile, India has confirmed their place in the semi-finals, but the chances of an India vs Pakistan match in the remaining matches of the World Cup are slim.
