ICC ODI World Cup: David Malan scored a stormy century
On the basis of brilliant innings of David Malan (106 not out) and Jonny Bairstow (52 runs), defending champion England has laid the foundation of a big score in its second match of the ICC ODI World Cup. On the basis of David Malan's unbeaten century, England has scored 205 runs at the loss of one wicket in 32.3 overs till the time of writing.
David Malan scored his sixth century of his ODI career. He is currently at the crease after scoring 106 runs on 94 balls. He hit 13 fours and two sixes in his innings. Whereas Joe Root is present at the crease with him after scoring 45 runs.
Earlier, opener Jonny Bairstow had played an inning of 52 runs. His wicket was taken by Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan. He faced 59 balls in his innings. The England team has entered the field with the aim of winning for the first time in this World Cup.
