ICC ODI World Cup: Rohit Sharma broke Chris Gayle's world record, became the sixer king of the World Cup 

 

The Indian team, captained by Rohit Sharma, has entered the final of the ICC ODI World Cup by defeating New Zealand. Rohit Sharma also played a stormy inning of 47 runs in the semi-final match played on Wednesday.

He played this innings with the help of four fours and the same number of sixes in 29 balls. During this innings he has registered a world record in his name. In this match, Rohit Sharma registered the world record for hitting most sixes in a single edition of the World Cup. He broke the world record of Chris Gayle of West Indies.

Chris Gayle hit the maximum number of 26 sixes in the 2015 World Cup. Indian captain Rohit Sharma has now hit 28 sixes in the World Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma now has 550 runs in ten matches of this World Cup.
