During this inning, Rohit hit 3 sixes and 13 fours, creating a special record for the most number of sixes hit by an Indian captain in a Test series, equaling the feat of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. This achievement has been added to Rohit's existing record in Test cricket.
In the ongoing five-match Test series between India and England, Rohit is currently in third place in terms of hitting the most sixes. Rohit has hit 7 sixes in 9 innings, as the captain of Team India, he is at the forefront in terms of hitting the most sixes in a Test series. He had earlier achieved this feat against West Indies in 2023.
Before Rohit, this record was in the name of Dhoni, who had hit 6 sixes against Australia in 2013 and 7 sixes against Sri Lanka in 2009.
The record of hitting most sixes in the ongoing Test series between India and England is in the name of Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is on top with 26 sixes in 9 innings. Shubman Gill is in second place with 11 sixes in 9 innings. Rohit is joint third with Dhruv Jurel, both of whom have hit 7 sixes in 4 innings.
