IND vs. NEP Highlights: The Indian team defeated Nepal by 10 wickets and got a ticket for Super-4!

 

In the fifth match of the Asia Cup, the Indian team faced Nepal in Kandy, Sri Lanka. In this match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. This decision of captain Rohit proved to be correct and India got a huge victory in this match by 10 wickets.

Team India has qualified for Super-4 by winning this match by 10 wickets. Batting first in the match, Asif Sheikh played an inning of 58 runs. He got several lives during the match. Apart from him, Sompal Kami played an important inning of 48 runs. Indian fielders had missed many important catches in the match. Shreyas Iyer, Virat Kohli, and Ishan Kishan dropped three easy catches.

Kushal and Asif took advantage of this and added 65 runs. Shardul Thakur broke the partnership of these two. He got Kushal caught out by Ishaan. After this Sompal tried to handle the team's innings and hit brilliant shots. Sompal scored 48 runs in 56 balls with the help of one four and two sixes. Nepal scored 230 runs and gave a target of 231 runs to the Indian team.

After this, rain came at the beginning of the Indian team's innings and the match had to be stopped. Under the Duckworth-Lewis rule, Team India had a target of 145 runs in 23 overs. In response, Team India won the match by 10 wickets in 20.1 overs. Captain Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten on 74 runs and Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 67 runs.
