Batting first, India scored 296 runs for eight wickets with the help of Samson's 108 runs in 114 balls and Tilak Verma's 52 runs in 77 balls. In reply, South Africa was all out for 218 runs in 45.5 overs.

For India, Arshdeep took four wickets for 30 runs in nine overs and Avesh Khan and Washington Sundar took 2 wickets each. With this victory, Team India has won the ODI series here for the second time after 2018. This is a big achievement of Team India under the captaincy of KL Rahul.
