IPL 2023: Yuzvendra Chahal broke this record of Lasith Malinga 

The champions of the first edition, Rajasthan Royals, have suffered a five-run defeat in a closely fought match in their second match of IPL 16. This is Rajasthan's first defeat in this IPL edition. In this match, Rajasthan Royals spin bowler Yuzvendra Chahal also registered a big achievement in his name.

Chahal took one wicket for 50 runs in four overs in the match. With this, he has left behind former Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga in the list of bowlers who have taken the most wickets in the IPL.

Yuzvendra Chahal has now become the second-highest wicket-taker in IPL. Chahal has so far taken 171 wickets in 132 innings of 133 matches. His best performance has been 5/40.

While former Mumbai Indians fast bowler Lasith Malinga took 170 wickets in 122 innings of just 122 matches. His best performance was on 5/13. Dwayne Bravo has taken the maximum of 183 wickets in IPL.
