IPL: Rajasthan Royals made a big move before the IPL mega auction, after Rahul Dravid, Vikram Rathod was appointed batting coach

Rajasthan Royals have made another big move before the IPL mega auction. Some time ago, the franchise had appointed Rahul Dravid as the head coach. Now Vikram Rathod has been included in the team as batting coach. Earlier he was in the role of batting coach of Team India. Rahul Dravid and Vikram Rathod played an important role in India's victory in the T20 World Cup 2024. After about 3 months, both have joined together again. Earlier, New Zealand also appointed Vikram Rathod as their batting coach against Afghanistan.

After joining Rajasthan Royals, Vikram Rathod is excited to work with Rahul Dravid and the young players. Rathod said, "I will make my full contribution to achieving the vision and goal of the team. Our goal is to prepare top-class players for the Royals and Team India, who can win the championship."

After Vikram Rathod joined Rajasthan Royals, the head coach of the team expressed happiness. He also talked about achieving success for Rajasthan Royals in IPL like Team India. Dravid praised Vikram's technical expertise and deep knowledge of the Indian situation. He said, "We have created a good identity by achieving success for Team India. Now by joining together again, we are very excited to prepare young players."

Vikram Rathod has played 6 Tests and 7 ODIs for India. Apart from this, he has also been the selector of Team India in 2012. He was part of Rahul Dravid's coaching staff at the National Cricket Academy. Then in 2019, the BCCI gave him the responsibility of India's batting coach. After playing this role for five years, he said goodbye to Team India when the T20 World Cup 2024 ended.

Rajasthan Royals won the trophy in the first season of IPL. Since then, the team has not been able to win this title even once. The team managed to reach the final in 2022 but had to face defeat at the hands of Gujarat Titans. Last season, they had to be eliminated after losing in Qualifier 2. Now after the inclusion of Dravid and Vikram Rathod, the Rajasthan Royals team is hoping to win the trophy like India.
