George Dobell has written in his report that Jofra Archer is expected to join the IPL mega auction. That is, he can make himself available for the auction.

574 players will be up for auction in the two-day auction

The mega auction of IPL 2025 is to be held in Jeddah on 24 and 25 November. A total of 574 players have been shortlisted for this. Out of those 574 names, 37 players are from England. Archer's name was not included in those 37 players. But, as per the news now, it is possible that he may be available for the 10 franchises bidding in the auction.

What will be the base price of Orchard?

Now the question is, if Jofra Archer enters the mega auction of IPL 2025, what will be his base price? The information about this is not official just like nothing is completely clear about Archer's entry in the auction. But, if Archer comes in the auction, then as expected, his base price can be Rs 2 crore. Archer's base price has been the same in the previous IPL auction as well.

Archer's IPL report card

Archer, who has taken 35 wickets in 29 T20 matches for England, has represented two teams in the IPL - Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals. He has played a total of 40 IPL matches so far, in which he has taken 48 wickets. Archer made his IPL debut in 2018. He played his last match in IPL 2023. He could not play in IPL 2024 due to injury.

Fitness was also being cited as the reason for him not participating in the IPL 2025 auction. It was being said that the ECB wants to keep him fit for the next Test summer.
