MI, IPL Auction 2025: Trent Boult returns to Mumbai, bought for 12.5 crores

 

Mumbai Indians had already retained stars who had immense experience. Among them was the captain of the team and the future captain. There was also the leader of the fast bowlers and a batsman like Verma who could win in the blink of an eye. But in the IPL 2025 auction, Mumbai took further steps to strengthen its team. Mumbai Indians bought fast bowler Trent Bolt for 12.5 crores. Bolt has returned to Mumbai after 3 seasons. Bolt was a part of Rajasthan Royals for the last three years. Mumbai also bought Naman Dheer for 5.25 crores. Robin Minj was bought for 65 lakhs.

Mumbai spent 75 crores on retention.

In the mega auction of IPL 2025, Mumbai Indians have Rs 45 crore to form the team. This is because out of the Rs 120 crore received to form the team, Mumbai Indians spent Rs 75 crore in retaining Hardik Pandya, Jaspreet Bumrah, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma. Mumbai has to buy a total of 20 players, in which there is a slot for 8 foreign players.
