Australia won the second Test match of the Ashes series 2023 by 43 runs from England based on excellent bowling by the bowlers. The century innings of Ben Stokes (155) seemed at one time that the hosts would easily win this match, but the Australian fast bowlers overturned the hard work of the England captain.

Mitchell Starc took three wickets in England's second innings. He achieved a big feat during the match. Starc overtook Mitchell Johnson as the leading wicket-taker in Test cricket when he dismissed Jack Crawley in the England second innings. Stark's name has now registered 316 wickets in the longest format of cricket.

Former Kangaroo fast bowler Mitchell Johnson has taken 313 wickets in Test cricket. Earlier, Stark had taken three wickets for England in the first innings as well. He has taken a total of six wickets in this match.
