Team India's fast bowler Mohammed Shami has not been able to be a part of Team India for the last 1 year. He was injured during the ODI World Cup 2023. Shami underwent surgery in February 2024 due to an ankle injury. In such a situation, he recently returned to the field from the Ranji Trophy and now he is playing in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024. Amid this tournament, bad news has come out for Shami's fans. Shami was seen groaning in pain during the match played between Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. After which the medical team had to examine him in the middle of the field.

Mohammad Shami got injured during Bengal's Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match against Madhya Pradesh at Niranjan Shah Stadium Ground C on Friday. Actually, he was seen in a lot of pain due to a back injury during this match. He felt back pain while bowling. He fell down while bowling, after which Shami felt uncomfortable and he lay down on the ground holding his lower back. Which increased the heartbeat of everyone.

Seeing Mohammed Shami in pain, the medical team of the Center of Excellence examined him, during which Nitin Patel, the head of the Center of Excellence's medical panel, was also present on the field. However, after a short treatment, Shami bowled again and completed his over. According to media reports, Shami may have suffered a slight shock when he fell, but he did not suffer any serious injury. In such a situation, he will be seen playing further in the tournament.

There may be entry in Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Team India is currently on a tour of Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. For this tour, the Indian selectors have given place to 18 players in the team. But experienced fast bowler Mohammed Shami is not a part of this team. He was suffering from injury for the last one year and could not get fit till the announcement of the team.
