Pakistan may be the host country and Babar Azam is the number one batsman, but Virat Kohli is the poster boy of the Champions Trophy?

Pakistan is hosting the Champions Trophy 2025. Pakistan Cricket Board has started preparations for this. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has put a lot of effort into repairing the stadium. He has worked day and night to make this tournament a success. Not only this, this tournament is to be held in ODI format, whose number one batsman is Babar Azam. Talking about Team India, its command is in the hands of Rohit Sharma. Despite all this, Virat Kohli has emerged as the poster boy of the Champions Trophy. A poster of the tournament is viral on social media, on which Virat's picture is there along with the names of broadcasters and sponsors.

What's in the poster?

On social media, the poster of the Champions Trophy is claimed to have been released by Star Sports. Star Sports is the official broadcaster of the tournament and through it, viewers can watch all the matches. In the viral poster, Star Sports has written the name of the host country but has not put the picture of any player from there. Even ODI's number one player and Pakistan's poster boy Babar Azam is missing from it. On the other hand, Team India captain Rohit Sharma has also not been given a place in this poster. It has used the face of Virat Kohli, who is currently considered the biggest superstar of cricket.

However, it has not been confirmed yet whether this is the official poster of the tournament or not. Star Sports has not released any such poster on its social media. Apart from this, there is no such picture on the official website of ICC either.

ICC team reached Pakistan

A 5-member ICC team landed in Karachi late on 17 September to look into the preparations for the tournament to be hosted by Pakistan. According to a PTI report, the team will first inspect the repair work going on in Karachi along with the arrangements for flights and hotels. Apart from this, detailed information will be sought from the Pakistan Cricket Board regarding the safety of the players. A schedule is also to be sought from the board. During this time, there can also be a discussion on the Indian team going to Pakistan. However, the BCCI has not yet clarified its stand.
