Ranji Trophy: Tanmay Agarwal made a world record by scoring a triple century in only 147 balls. 

 

Hyderabad opener Tanmay Agarwal scored the fastest triple century in the history of first-class cricket against Arunachal Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy match on Friday.

He achieved this big feat against Arunachal Pradesh in just 147 balls. Through this inning, he has broken the world record of South African cricketer Marco Marais for scoring the fastest triple century.

Marco had earlier scored the fastest triple century in first-class cricket off 191 balls. On the basis of this stormy triple century innings of Tanmay, Hyderabad has scored 529 runs at the loss of 1 wicket in 48 overs till the end of the first day's play.

Tanmay Agarwal is currently at the crease after scoring 323 runs in 160 balls with the help of 33 fours and 21 skyscraper sixes. Now today he will have a chance to break the world record of former great West Indies batsman Brian Lara by scoring 501 runs.
