Ravindra Jadeja 300 Wickets: Ravindra Jadeja completed 300 wickets in Test cricket, and made this big record.
Ravindra Jadeja took a wicket in the first innings of the Kanpur Test against Bangladesh but this wicket was very special because with this he completed 300 wickets in Test cricket. Ravindra Jadeja caught Khalid Ahmed on his own ball and with this, he did such a feat which has happened for the first time in Indian cricket history. Ravindra Jadeja is the first left-arm spinner of India who has taken 300 wickets in Test cricket.
Before Ravindra Jadeja, the left-arm spinner who took the most 266 wickets in Test cricket was Bishan Singh Bedi. But now Jadeja has reached the milestone of 300 wickets. Jadeja is also the third left-arm spinner in the world to have 300 Test wickets. The left-arm spinner who has taken the most 433 Test wickets is Rangana Herath of Sri Lanka. Daniel Vettori has taken 362 wickets. However, Jadeja is the only left-arm spinner in Asia who has taken 300 wickets in addition to scoring more than 3000 runs in Tests.
Ravindra Jadeja surpassed legends like Imran Khan and Kapil Dev as soon as he completed 300 wickets. In fact, Jadeja has achieved the feat of scoring more than 3000 runs and taking 300 wickets in just 74 Tests. Imran Khan had done this in 75 Tests and Kapil Dev had achieved this feat in 83 Tests. Only Ian Botham has achieved the feat of scoring more than 3000 runs and taking more than 300 wickets in 72 Tests faster than Jadeja.
The special thing about Jadeja is that this player has completed 300 Test wickets with a better bowling average than legendary spinner Anil Kumble. Jadeja's bowling average is only 23.99 and Anil Kumble completed 300 wickets with an average of 29.65. Talking about batting, Jadeja's Test average is better than KL Rahul's. KL Rahul's Test batting average is 34.13 and Jadeja scores runs at an average of 36.73. It is clear that due to these figures, Jadeja is the world's number 1 Test all-rounder.
