'Stop batting practice, play rope jumping…' Babar Azam has never been insulted like this before

Babar Azam has emerged as the biggest star of the Pakistan cricket team in the last decade. With his excellent batting, he has won many matches for the team. He has also set records for runs in all three formats, but sometimes he is also criticized due to failure in big tournaments. Many times when Babar is needed to save the team in trouble, he misses. Something similar happened in the Rawalpindi Test match against Bangladesh, where Babar Azam failed miserably and now he is being criticized. Fans are already attacking him, but now former Pakistani legend Basit Ali has openly mocked Babar.

Former batsman Basit Ali, who has made a name for himself in Pakistan for often criticizing Babar Azam, once again targeted the star batsman. After the Pakistani team's defeat against Bangladesh, Basit Ali mocked Babar in a video posted on his YouTube channel and said that he should stop batting in the nets. He quipped that Babar scores all the runs in the nets and then is unable to score runs in the match.

He did not stop here and even said that Babar spends more time in the nets than on the pitch. The former Pakistani batsman said that while there is a need to stay on the pitch for 2 hours during the match, Babar spends this much time in the nets. He said that Babar should only jump rope and do a little knocking (light batting practice without nets) in practice.

Flop show in Rawalpindi too

In the first Test match played in Rawalpindi, Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 10 wickets on the 5th day. This is Bangladesh's first win over Pakistan in Test cricket. Most of the Pakistani batsmen failed in this match but Babar Azam's failure hurt the Pakistani team the most because not only is he the most experienced batsman of the team, but also the best batsman and the responsibility of handling the team has been on him.

Babar could not even open his account in the first innings, while in the second innings, despite being caught at 0 runs, he could score only 22 runs. In this way, Babar has not been able to score even a half-century in Test cricket in the last one and a half-years.
