T20 World Cup 2024: An over with 36 runs, featuring 6, 5 (no ball), 5 (wide), 0, 4 (leg bye), 4, 6, 6 - a barrage of fours and sixes

This is the second time in the history of T20 World Cup that 36 runs have been scored in one over. Earlier in the T20 World Cup 2007, Yuvraj Singh had scored 36 runs in one over of England's Stuart Broad. This has happened for the second time.

Nicholas Pooran batted brilliantly in the match against Afghanistan. In this match, the batsman missed a century by just 2 runs. He played a total of 98 innings. With this, the West Indies team was able to score a big score.

T20 World Cup 2024 was played between West Indies and Afghanistan. In this match, Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan won the toss and decided to bowl first. In this match, Nicholas Pooran of West Indies batted brilliantly. He hit a half-century in this match. 98 runs were scored in the match. 36 runs were scored in one over.

Thus a total of 16 runs were given. No runs were scored on the second valid ball of the over but it was a free hit. Fours were hit on the third and fourth balls. With sixes on the fifth and sixth balls, thus a total of 36 runs were scored in this over.

In the match against Afghanistan, West Indies player Nicholas Pooran scored 98 runs in 53 balls which included 6 fours and 6 sixes. Shai Hope contributed 25 runs and captain Rovman Powell contributed 26 runs. With the help of these players, the West Indies team scored 218 runs in 20 overs.
