The world record for playing the biggest innings in ODI cricket has now been broken. This was demolished by Samastipur batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi by scored an unbeaten triple century on Sunday in the Randhir Verma Under-19 ODI competition organized by Bihar Cricket Association.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has broken Ali Brown's record. He scored a record 268 runs for Surrey against Glamorgan in the 2002 county first-class ODI match. Indian captain Rohit Sharma had played the highest innings of 264 runs in ODI cricket. With this, Vaibhav has become the first Indian to score a triple century in ODI cricket.
Earlier in this format, on 14 June 2022, in the Blind Cricket Tournament, Australia's Stephen Nero had played an unbeaten inning of 309 runs in 140 balls against New Zealand in Brisbane. Now Vaibhav Suryavanshi has played a record inning of 332 runs on Sunday. In this inning, he has faced 178 balls.
