He did this against Vanuatu in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Sub-Regional East-Asia Pacific Qualifier A match.
Darius Visser targeted Vanuatu bowler Nalin Nipiko and smashed 39 runs in one of his overs. In this over with 3 no balls, Darius hit 6 sixes and wrote the script of 39 runs.
He broke the records of these batsmen including Yuvraj Singh
India's Yuvraj Singh scored 36 runs in an over with 6 sixes against England's Stuart Broad in the 2007 T20 World Cup. But, Samoa's Darius has now surpassed him by scoring 39 runs with 6 sixes.
36 runs in an over of T20 International have also been scored by Kieron Pollard in the year 2021 and Nicholas Pooran and Dipendra Singh Airy in 2024. The wicketkeeper batsman of Samoa has broken the record of all these along with Yuvraj Singh.
