Virat Kohli's team won, and showed their fielding skills in the training camp

Team India's training camp is going on in full swing in Chennai. After two days of continuous practice, the players were given a day's break and then training started again on Monday 16 September. In this camp organized for the preparation of the Test series against Bangladesh, the focus is not only on batting or bowling but also on fielding. In one such fielding session, all the players were divided into two different teams, which Virat Kohli's team won. Team India's fielding coach T. Dilip told about this in a video.

Team India has been engaged in a 5-day training camp at Chepauk Stadium since the 13th, three days of which have been completed. On the third day of the camp on Monday, apart from batting and bowling, emphasis was also laid on fielding drills. BCCI posted a video on its social media account, in which the players were focusing on drills ranging from catching the ball to stopping the ball. The fielding coach also organized a competition around these drills.

In this video, coach Dilip explained that in view of the heat and humidity of Chennai, emphasis was laid on the intensity of fielding instead of making the players practice more so that they do not face much trouble. He said that in this session, a catching competition was held, in which the players were divided into two groups. In this, the group that made fewer mistakes in catching won. Dilip said that in this session, Virat Kohli's team won. In the video, apart from Virat, all the players including captain Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Jaspreet Bumrah, and Shubman Gill were seen sweating profusely in fielding.

Apart from fielding, there was fierce competition in batting and bowling. According to the PTI report, Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal faced Jaspreet Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin bravely. During this, Bumrah troubled both the batsmen a lot. Bumrah and some other net bowlers scattered Jaiswal's stumps. At the same time, captain Rohit paid more attention to batting against spinners, while Sarfaraz Khan became a part of Team India's training camp for the first time after playing the second-round match of the Duleep Trophy.
