When Rohit Sharma hit 264 runs, it was a miracle of cricket that fans will never forget for the rest of their lives.

Team India is on a tour to Australia to play a Test series. Indian fans are hopeful that they will return with a memorable victory. Just like the memory their captain Rohit Sharma once gave them. And, which they will never forget for the rest of their lives. The story is a decade old. It is about an ODI match in which Rohit Sharma scored 5 half-centuries one after the other. Now you will say that how is it possible to score 5 half-centuries in an ODI match? Rohit Sharma made this possible with just one innings. And when he did so, he made the highest individual score in ODI history, whose glory is still intact and may remain in the future as well.

Rohit Sharma did a great job on 13 November 2014

The year was 2014, the date was 13th November, the ground was Eden Gardens and the match was between India and Sri Lanka. India batted first in that match. Rohit Sharma came out to open with his partner Ajinkya Rahane. When he came out, it did not seem that he would do some miracle that is recorded in the pages of history today. But. As the game progressed, Rohit Sharma also changed colors and gears. The result was that he made the biggest score in the history of ODI cricket, which had never come out of the bat of any batsman before. And, neither has come out till date.

An innings of 264 runs with 5 half-centuries!

Rohit Sharma faced 173 balls and scored 264 runs, which included 33 fours and 9 sixes. It is difficult for a batsman to score even one half-century. But if we look at it, Rohit Sharma scored 5 half-centuries in his innings.

Taking the Sri Lankan bowlers to task during his 264-run innings, Rohit Sharma completed his first half-century in 72 balls. He completed his second half-century in 28 balls. Rohit played 25 balls for his third half-century. While he scored his fourth half-century in 26 balls. Rohit Sharma's fastest half-century was his 5th and last. This means that Rohit Sharma remained calm till his first half-century. After that, when he changed gears, he did not stop.

Forget about India, Sri Lanka's team did not even score as many runs as Rohit

Now if a single batsman of a team plays such an innings, then what hope can the opposing team have of winning. The same thing happened in that match as well. Leave alone the 404 runs made by Team India, Sri Lanka could not even cross the score of 264 runs scored by Rohit Sharma alone. They were all out at 251 runs only.
