An Australian magazine wrote at that time that on some occasions Australian captain Steve Waugh was made to wait for the toss. He was made to wait because Indian captain Sourav Ganguly used to arrive late for the toss. Waugh has also mentioned the delay in the toss in the series in his book 'Out of My Comfort Zone'.
