The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has launched a new jersey for the Indian cricket team participating in the One Day International (ODI) World Cup. In a video shared on social media, Indian cricket stars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma can be seen wearing the new jersey with great enthusiasm. Official kit sponsor Adidas has also posted this video. A change has been made in the new jersey of the Indian team in the World Cup, which has been greatly appreciated by the fans. Instead of three white stripes on the shoulders, it now includes the tricolor symbol of the Indian flag. Additionally, the BCCI logo on the chest now features two stars, symbolizing India's two ODI World Cup victories.

It is noteworthy that India won its first ODI World Cup title in 1983 under the captaincy of Kapil Dev. Then, in 2011, India won its second ODI World Cup under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Now in 2023, the Indian cricket team will try for the historic third title. This time India is hosting the World Cup completely on its own for the first time. In 2011, during the World Cup, India co-hosted the tournament with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

This time the Indian team is being led by Rohit Sharma as captain. Interestingly, when India won the 2011 World Cup, Rohit Sharma was not a part of the Indian team. It will be interesting to see whether Rohit's captaincy can repeat history for the Indian team or not. India is set to play two warm-up matches before the World Cup, the first against England on September 30 and the second against Ireland on October 2. The World Cup campaign for the Indian team will begin on October 8 when they will face Australia.
