India's star opener Shubman Gill displayed his old form by scoring his 11th ODI half-century during the match against Sri Lanka in Mumbai on Thursday. The talented batsman scored a brilliant 92 runs before getting out. It is noteworthy that Gill, a resident of Punjab, was suffering from dengue just before the World Cup 2023, due to which he could not play in the first two matches against Australia and Afghanistan.
After recovering from dengue, Gill made a winning comeback in the game against Pakistan. However, his performance with the bat did not live up to expectations. In the four matches following his return, he could score only 104 runs at an average of 26.00.
Gill's determination and skill were evident as he brought up his half-century in just 55 balls, showcasing his skills with eight powerful fours.
