A new feature is coming in Pixel phones, it will do this work automatically when it overheats!

Google Pixel Update: Google's Pixel phones may soon be able to handle heat better. A new feature called "Adaptive Thermal" will help users cool down their phones before they reach dangerous temperatures. Android Authority has discovered evidence of this upcoming feature in the latest version of Google's Device Health Services app. This feature will alert users when their phone is getting too hot and also give suggestions to cool it down.

How will this feature work

When the Pixel phone's battery reaches 49°C (120°F), the phone will send a "pre-emergency" notification. This alert will warn users that their phone has become too hot and may slow down. It will also advise to avoid direct sunlight and close apps that consume a lot of battery. If you tap on the notification, you will get more information about what the phone is doing to cool itself down, such as reducing performance and turning off 5G. You will also get additional tips like keeping the phone in a well-ventilated place.

According to a report by Android Authority, this feature will check the phone's temperature every five minutes. If the temperature reaches 52°C (126°F), an "emergency" state will occur, although not much is known about this state yet. At 55°C (131°F), the phone will warn users that it may

This new feature improves the heat management tools already present in Android phones. Currently, phones can reduce screen brightness, slow down processor speed or even shut down if they get too hot to keep themselves cool. Overheating has been a problem in some Pixel models. Last year, Pixel 6 and 7 users reported problems with their phones getting hot after a security update. Similar problems were also faced in the Pixel 8 series.

When will this feature arrive?

It is not yet clear when the "Adaptive Thermal" feature will arrive, but it is expected that it may launch with the upcoming Pixel 9 series. This new way to protect yourself from heat can help Pixel users keep the phone cool, especially in summer or when using high-processing apps.
