Under this, the Union Home Ministry announced a toll free mobile number 155260, where any Indian citizen can register a complaint of bank or mobile fraud, which has now been changed by the government to 1930. After complaining on this number, the police and the agency immediately come into action. Also, the information reaches the bank with immediate effect. So the fraud amount is recovered

How to call

If you have been a victim of bank fraud, then you have to call 1930 from your registered mobile number. The complaint will be registered only when you call from the registered mobile number linked to the bank.

After this, you will be asked for your name, account number, card number, wallet information. During this time you do not need to show the PIN number. All your details will be sent to the concerned bank where the bank fraud incident took place. Along with this, your fraud complaint will also be registered with the Reserve Bank and the police. UPI payment apps and all financial transaction institutions are connected to this service

It takes time for any banking transaction to be completed. When you make a UPI payment or any other online transaction, money is deducted from your account immediately, but it takes time to transfer money from one bank to another. In such a situation, if you lodge a complaint within 24 hours, then your money transaction can be stopped and the money can be returned to you.
