How to change Instagram username from mobile phone 

The process to change your username on the Instagram app is the same, on both Android and iOS. It is given as follows. 

How to change username from profile 

Step 1: First, open Instagram and make sure you are logged in. 

Step 2: Now go to your profile page. 

Step 3: Tap Edit Profile. 

Step 4: Tap on the Username box and change it.

Step 3: Tap on the three-dash menu option in the top right corner. 

Step 4: Tap on Settings & Privacy. 

Step 5: Tap Account Center. 

Step 6: Tap Profile > your username.

Change Instagram username from computer 

Both the edit and settings options on the profile page take you to the same place, so these steps are what you'll need to follow either way. 

Step 1: Go to Instagram.com on your browser of choice. 

Step 2: Either click on the button at the bottom right corner (side menu) and then click on Settings or tap on your profile (from the sidebar menu) and then tap on the Edit Profile button. 

Step 3: Tap View more on the Account Center option. 

Step 4: Tap on your username and it opens a small pop-up box. 

Step 5: Tap on the Username option and change the username in the following screen.
