A message is going viral on social media very fast, in which it is being said that the government is giving a 3-month recharge plan to the people for free. Now a message from PIB Fact Check has come on this.

This is a fake message that is being spread online to deceive people. PIB Fact Check on Twitter has reported that a fake message is going viral in the name of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). It is being claimed that free recharge is being given due to an increase in the price of mobile recharge.

'Congratulations! You have got three months of free recharge. It offers 200GB of super-fast 4G/5G data and unlimited calling facility. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is giving this three months of free recharge due to an increase in mobile recharge prices. This offer is valid till 31st July only.'

PIB told it was fake

Interestingly, the message says that the offer is valid only till July 31 so as to entice people to make a quick decision. PIB Fact Check has called it a fake message and said that TRAI is not giving any free mobile recharge.
