Paytm Crisis: After RBI's action, Paytm Payment Bank was shut down. Paytm's business suffered a big loss, and now Paytm is stuck in a new problem. The Labor Commissioner has taken action against Paytm. The Commissioner has taken this action in the case of forced dismissal of employees from their jobs.  

Paytm News: The problems of digital payment company Paytm are not reducing. First, due to the action of the Reserve Bank, the license of Paytm Payment Bank and Fastag service were stopped, now the Labor Commissioner's notice has reached Paytm. Paytm has received the notice of the Labor Commissioner for forcibly removing the employees from the job. The Regional Labor Commissioner of Bangalore has issued a summons to Paytm's parent company One-97 Communications.  

Case of forced dismissal of staff  

Acting on the complaint against Paytm, the Labor Commissioner has issued a summons. The summons have been issued in the case of forced dismissal of some employees. In fact, after being fired from the job, some employees filed several complaints with the Ministry of Labor and Employment. The company was accused of forcibly dismissing staff in violation of laws. Acting on this complaint, the Regional Labor Commissioner (Central) of the Deputy Chief Labor Commissioner (Central) of the Ministry of Labor and Employment has issued a notice to One97 Communication. 

The government summoned

According to a Money Control report, the Ministry of Labor and Employment received several complaints against Paytm. Employees accused the company of violating rules and sacking them without salary. After the complaints of the employees, the Regional Labor Commissioner under the Deputy Chief Labor Commissioner (Central) of the Ministry of Labor and Employment sent a notice to One97 Communication. In the summons, Paytm management has been summoned with all the necessary documents. After receiving the summons, Paytm said that they understood the contribution of their employees. They said that the matter of relieving some employees from the job was taken after careful consideration. They argued that every possible effort has been made to help the retrenched employees.   

What is the controversy?  

Paytm forced some employees to resign without notice period and package. A complaint was made to the Labor Commissioner about this. This is not the first case. Recently, RBI imposed restrictions on Paytm Payments Bank and canceled its license due to ignorance of the rules. After March 15, Paytm Payments Bank was completely shut down. This action was taken after an investigation of major irregularities in KYC on Paytm.
