WhatsApp New Feature:  Many times people add you to groups about which you do not know. In such a situation, the messages coming into the group bother you. To solve this problem of yours, WhatsApp has brought a new feature. Let us tell you about it.

WhatsApp Update: The instant messaging platform WhatsApp keeps bringing such features and updates for its users from time to time, which are very useful for them. Users get the facility to create groups on WhatsApp, in which they can add their friends and relatives. People create different groups for different tasks, such as an office group for office work, and a separate group to talk to friends. Similarly, students also create groups to share study material. But, sometimes people also add you to such groups, about which you do not know. In such a situation, the messages coming into the group bother you. To solve this problem of yours, WhatsApp has brought a new feature. Let us tell you about it.

WhatsApp will give you more information.

Before joining an unknown group, WhatsApp will now give you more information about that group. This means that the next time an unknown person adds you to a group, you will also be shown who added you, when the group was created, and who created it. This will help you know about the group. WhatsApp says that this new feature will help people decide whether they want to join that group or not.

This feature has been started for some people only, but in the coming weeks, it will be rolled out for all WhatsApp users. Some people try to commit fraud by adding people to unknown WhatsApp groups. They try to cheat them by making fake promises of crypto or jobs. After joining such groups, you may also get spam messages.

WhatsApp gave this facility to the users.

That is why in 2019 WhatsApp gave users the facility to decide who can add them to the group. You can go to Settings and go to Account > Privacy > Groups and choose from the three options "Everyone", "My Contacts", or "My Contacts Except". With this, you can decide who can add you to the group. Even if an unknown person messages you on WhatsApp, WhatsApp will give you more information about that person.
