How To Use WhatsApp Voice Note Transcribe

WhatsApp's voice note transcription feature can be accessed within chats and enabled through the app's settings. The feature is exclusive to the mobile app and does not support the web version. It is available in five languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and Hindi, allowing users to transcribe voice notes directly on their phones.

To activate this feature, go to Settings on your WhatsApp app. Click on Chats and you will see a toggle bar to activate the feature. Once activated, a transcription prompt will appear below the voice notes, allowing users to manually start the process. When clicked, WhatsApp downloads the text file and displays the transcription results below the original voice note.

How to use?

Once you get the voice note, you will also get the option to choose whether you want to transcribe it or not. This option will only appear if you have activated the feature. When you click on the Transcribe option, it will download a file and the text of the voice note will appear below the voice note.

WhatsApp guarantees that personal voice messages are secure with end-to-end encryption, ensuring that only the sender and receiver can access them. Even WhatsApp itself cannot listen to the messages. Furthermore, the transcription text file is private and cannot be shared, further enhancing the privacy features of the app.
