Elon Musk on Jaguar Logo: Jaguar has unveiled a new logo for its cars. The 102-year-old luxury automaker on Tuesday announced that it is replacing its old logo, written in capital letters, with a new logo, which is considered a "powerful celebration of modernity". This new logo is probably not liked by customers and automobile enthusiasts. This is the reason why Tesla owner Elon Musk has also enjoyed the new logo.
Known for its expensive race cars and luxurious sedans, Jaguar has limited itself to a single model, the F-Pace SUV, in the US, and has completely stopped selling cars in the British market as the company's focus is now on making electric cars and the company is pushing towards developing them. According to the information, the company's electric vehicle can go into production in 2026.
Designed with a custom font, the golden Jaguar letters, except "G" and "U", are outside and lowercase, which the company says "blends the upper and lower letters with great ease in visual harmony and looks extremely vigorous."
Other changes to Jaguar's branding include a redesigned Pouncing Cat logo, called "Leaper," and a new monogram that incorporates "J" and "R" into the brand name.
Gerry McGovern, Chief Creative Officer, Jaguar Land Rover, said in a press release, "This is a reimagining that recaptures the essence of Jaguar, returning it to the values it loved so much, but making it relevant to contemporary audiences."
