Maruti Suzuki Vitara: Maruti's first electric car unveiled, the tension of Tata and Mahindra will increase!

Suzuki has introduced the first electric car Vitara. The new electric car will be sold in India through Maruti Suzuki. Currently, electric cars of Indian brands like Tata Motors and Mahindra are sold more in India. When Maruti's electric car enters the market, it is sure to be difficult for both these companies. Suzuki has introduced eVitara with a powerful battery pack.

Suzuki unveiled the eVitara in Milan, Italy. The latest electric car is 4275mm long, 1800mm wide and 1636mm high. Its size is bigger than the fuel based model. Suzuki has given it a wheelbase of 2700mm. It will be produced on the new Heartect e-architecture.

Maruti Suzuki eVitara: Battery and Range

Suzuki has given a 5 seater option in eVitara, which is exclusively for Europe. It will have two battery options - 49kWh and 61kWh. Suzuki has not officially revealed the range, but the company intends to launch it in the market with a range of 400 kilometers with a larger battery pack.

Maruti's first electric car can be charged at a speed of up to 150kW. Four-wheel drive (with only 61kWh battery) option can be given in eVitara. In this setup, eVitara can get the support of Allgrip-e system for off-road driving, which will control the two motors in a better way.

Maruti Suzuki eVitara: Features

The eVitara features a two-tone black and orange cabin theme with a 2-spoke flat bottom steering wheel and vertically oriented AC vents surrounded by chrome. One of the biggest features inside the cabin is its integrated floating screen setup, one for infotainment and the other for the driver display. Suzuki has not yet revealed the detailed features list of the eVitara.

However, this electric car is expected to get features like automatic AC, ventilated front seats and wireless phone charger. It may include safety features like 6 airbags (standard), 360 degree camera and electronic parking brake. Europe, India and Japan are the main markets for eVitara. This electric car can be launched in India in 2025.
