Every day, millions of people travel by train, and in India, there are many excellent trains that offer various facilities similar to aeroplanes. This is why many people consider train travel to be comfortable and budget-friendly.
There are specific rules regarding train travel and similar rules govern ticket cancellation. In other words, there are guidelines on how many hours before travel you can cancel your ticket.

If your ticket is confirmed and you cancel it 48 hours before the journey, you will be refunded the money along with cancellation charges. For Executive and First Class, a cancellation charge of Rs 240 is applicable, and for Second AC, a cancellation charge of Rs 200 is applicable. A charge of Rs 60 is levied for cancellation of second class ticket.

Similarly, if you cancel your ticket more than 12 hours before the departure time, a cancellation charge of 25% may be levied, and if less than 12 hours, a 50% charge may be levied.
