Effective from 8 AM on Monday, the toll rates have been officially declared, and a rate list board has been installed at the plaza for public reference.

New Toll Tax Structure Begins at Ballipur Toll Plaza

The newly established Ballipur Toll Plaza on Hardoi Road is now operational, with toll collection commencing today. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has finalized and displayed the toll charges, which will be applicable to different types of vehicles. According to NHAI Project Director Saurabh Chaurasia, the toll collection process is fully set up and will be in effect from March 24, 2025, at 8 AM.

More Toll Plazas to Come

The project director further mentioned that the NHAI has successfully completed Package-3 of a 55 km stretch, and the next phase is under development by the Bareilly NHAI team. Currently, vehicle owners traveling between Hardoi and Lucknow will have to pay the toll at one location. However, in the coming months, there will be an additional toll plaza on this route, meaning commuters will be required to pay at two different locations between Hardoi and Lucknow.

Impact on Daily Commuters

For those who frequently travel between Hardoi and Lucknow, the newly implemented toll plaza may increase travel costs. Many commuters who rely on this route for daily travel may need to consider purchasing monthly passes to save on expenses. The implementation of toll tax is part of the government's effort to maintain and enhance the highway infrastructure, ensuring smoother and safer journeys for all road users.

Final Thoughts

With toll collection now in effect, drivers should plan their journeys accordingly, keeping in mind the additional expenses. The new system aims to improve road maintenance and ensure better travel experiences, but it also means an extra cost for frequent travelers. As the highway development progresses, further updates regarding toll charges and additional toll points will be communicated by the authorities.

For any queries or concerns regarding the toll rates, commuters can check the official NHAI website or contact the toll plaza authorities for assistance.
