Betting App Controversy: Case Filed Against 25 People, Including ‘Bahubali’ Fame Rana Daggubati and Vijay Deverakonda

The legal troubles of several South Indian film stars seem to be mounting. A case has been registered against 25 individuals, including six prominent film actors and social media influencers, for allegedly promoting the Betimp betting app. Among the accused are well-known actors Rana Daggubati, famous for his role as Bhallaladeva in Baahubali, and Vijay Deverakonda.

FIR Registered in Telangana

The Telangana Police has filed an FIR at Miyapur Police Station following a petition by businessman Phanindra Sharma. The case falls under Sections 3, 3(A), and 4 of the BNS Act and Section 66D of the IT Act, which deal with online fraud and illegal promotions.

Big Names from the South Film Industry Under Scrutiny

According to ANI reports, apart from Rana Daggubati and Vijay Deverakonda, several other South Indian film personalities and influencers are also facing charges. These include:

  • Nidhhi Agerwal
  • Prakash Raj
  • Manchu Lakshmi
  • Shobha Shetty

Additionally, social media influencers such as Amrita Chaudhary, Nayani Pawani, Pandu, Neha Pathan, Padmavati, Imran Khan, Harsh Sai, Bayya Sunny Yadav, Shyamala, Vishnupriya, Tasty Teja, and Ritu Chaudhary have also been booked in connection with the case.
