Bigg Boss OTT, the digital-only version of the controversial reality show, was streamed on Voot from August 2021 to September 2021, and now after almost two years, streaming giant JioCinema has officially announced a new show titled Bigg Boss OTT 2 with Salman Khan. The second season has been announced, replacing filmmaker Karan Johar as the host.

The OTT veteran shared the announcement video with the Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan star dancing to the new anthem of Bigg Boss OTT with the caption, "Everyone's favorite Salman Khan brings India's biggest reality show, Bigg Boss to OTT." Ready to bring it back? And this time, you will plant and you will save.'

The Bharat star has been hosting Bigg Boss since its fourth season on Colors TV for the last thirteen years.

In the grand finale, Divya Agarwal won Bigg Boss OTT by defeating Nishant Bhat, Prateek Sahajpal, Shamita Shetty, and Rakesh Bapat. Prateik chose to go directly to Bigg Boss 15, while Nishant and Shamita also participated in the television reality show. All three also reached the grand finale of Bigg Boss 15, which was won by Tejashwi Prakash.

The first season ran for 42 days. The contestants and duration of the second season have not been finalized yet. Also, it has not been announced yet whether the contestants of Bigg Boss OTT 2 will be given direct entry in Bigg Boss 17 or not.
