Box Office Collection: Gadar 2 has a bang, leaving OMG 2 far behind in terms of earnings

Bollywood star actor Sunny Deol's film Gadar 2 has got a great opening at the box office. The film has left Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 far behind in terms of opening day collections.

Reminiscing about the iconic film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha 22 years back in the history of Indian cinema, people thronged the theaters in large numbers to watch Gadar 2. According to the reports, Gadar 2 has made a bang of 40 crores on the first day itself. The enthusiasm towards this film is being seen in the audience. A day before the release of this film, more than two lakh tickets were sold.

The film earned 17.60 crores only from advance booking. It has been released on more than 3500 screens. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar starrer film OMG 2, released on Friday, earned only 9.5 crores on the opening day. Although the film is likely to get the benefit of mouth publicity in the coming times.
