The love story of friends in Indore depended on Salim Khan

On August 20, Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar's documentary series 'Angry Young Man' was released on Amazon Prime Video. In this series, Salim-Javed shared many stories remembering their days of struggle.

Salim Khan recalled the time when he lived in Indore and his friends as well as many others used to ask him to write love letters for their girlfriends. He said, "First of all, I started by writing love letters to people, because before that I did not know that I could even write. When I left Indore, all those for whom I used to write letters were ruined. They used to send me messages saying that you have ruined us. Salim Khan also told that when he went to attend a wedding in Indore, filmmaker K. Amarnath came there, who advised him to come to Mumbai and become an actor.

I came to Mumbai with 1000 rupees

Salim Khan has told in many old interviews that when he came to Mumbai, he had only one thousand rupees in his pocket. He never asked his father for money for survival in Mumbai. The 88-year-old writer also told in the 'Angry Young Man' series that when he came to Mumbai for the first time, he gave him the role of actor Ajit's younger brother in his first film 'Baaraat'. His house was vacant, in which he gave Salim Khan a place to live. Salim Khan told that he even told him that "until this house is sold, you stay here".

However, Salim sahab's luck was so bad that when he shifted to his house in Mumbai, it was sold after some time and then he shifted to 'Marina House' in Marine Drive to live in the dream city. From there his story of struggle started.
