On Tuesday morning, the staff knocked on the door of a room in Hotel Royal Living in the same area to take the breakfast order but got no response. In such a situation, when the staff checked the CCTV, they saw that the young man staying in that room was leaving the hotel in a hurry. When there was a suspicion of something wrong, the room door was opened with a duplicate key. Inside, the blood-soaked body of a girl of about 22 years was lying.

This body was of Assamese vlogger Maya Gogoi, who was staying in this room with a young man named Arnab Harnoy. Maya was stabbed to death. Police believe that Arnab must have killed Maya on Monday. He stayed in the room with the dead body the whole night and fled from the hotel in the morning with his luggage. Police say that they have solid clues and Arnab will be arrested soon.

The case is linked to a love affair and the police are trying to find out the motive behind this murder. However, this is not the first time that a love story has turned into a hate story like this. Earlier also, many such cases have come to light where a crazy lover brutally murdered his girlfriend.

He killed his married girlfriend who was 4 years older than him

On November 17, 28-year-old Shahrukh murdered his 32-year-old married lover Nargis in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Nargis' husband had died about five years ago. She lived with her in-laws with her five children. Some time ago, Nargis started an affair with Shahrukh. However, Shahrukh did not like Nargis talking to another man in the neighbourhood.

There were frequent fights between the two over this issue. Angered, Nargis threatened to break off relations with Shahrukh. Shahrukh went to Nargis's house early Sunday morning and took her to another room and slit her throat with a knife. Hearing Nargis' screams, her in-laws and children ran to the room, but Shahrukh continued to attack Nargis and then fled from there. Later, the police arrested him.

On the day of Karva Chauth, he buried his girlfriend in the ground

In the country's capital Delhi, a young man named Salim, posing as Sanju, first trapped a girl named Sonia Kumari in his love trap and then killed her. At the time of the murder, Sonia was pregnant and Salim had called her on the pretext of meeting her on the day of Karva Chauth. On October 21, he took Sonia to Rohtak in Haryana and strangled her to death there.

After the murder, Salim, with the help of his two friends, dug a pit about four feet deep in the forests of Rohtak and buried the body in it. Sonia's family said that their daughter wanted to keep her unborn child, but Salim was avoiding it. On October 24, the police arrested Salim alias Sanju.

Girlfriend murdered and her body cut into 40 pieces

On 21 September this year, a sensational case in Bangalore shook the entire country. Here, a woman named Mahalakshmi was murdered inside a flat and after that, her body was cut into 40 pieces and kept in the fridge. When the police investigated, it was found that this murder was committed by the woman's lover Mukti Ranjan Ray. Later, Mukti Ranjan's body was also found hanging from a tree.

Meeting at the spa and a horrifying end

In April 2024, in Bengaluru, a 35-year-old cab driver stabbed his 42-year-old girlfriend to death after she refused to marry him. The deceased Farida Khatun was a resident of Kolkata and worked in a spa in Bengaluru. The accused Girish alias Rehan met her in the same spa in the year 2022. A few days later, Rehan asked for marriage, but Farida refused.

Farida was already married but was living separately from her husband with her children. When Rehan asked her to marry him, Farida replied that she had other priorities in life. Rehan got angry at this and stabbed her to death. Later he went to the police station and surrendered.

He strangled his girlfriend and hid her body in the fridge

On the night of 9 February 2023, a very horrific incident came to light from the country's capital Delhi. In Delhi's Mitraon village, 24-year-old Sahil Gehlot murdered his girlfriend Nikki Yadav. After the murder, he hid Nikki's body in the fridge. Not only this, Sahil also married another girl the next day of the murder.

Actually, Nikki came to know about Sahil's marriage. There was a quarrel between the two over this matter. In anger, Sahil strangled Nikki with the data cable of his mobile phone. Then he took Nikki's body to his dhaba in Mitraon village and hid it in the fridge. After this Sahil attended his second wedding. However, later Sahil was caught and the police registered a case against him and sent him to jail.
