Railway police have arrested 6 criminals in Patna, Bihar. All of them used to commit mobile snatching incidents in Patna. They were paid a daily wage of Rs. 1000 for this. The criminals told the police- We used to go to the gang leader in the evening after snatching mobiles. Then we used to hand over all the mobiles we had looted to the gang leader. The gang leader then used to go to Nepal and sell them. The police are currently searching for the mastermind of this gang.
GRP said- This gang was active not only in the railway station but also in the entire city. A minor is also included among the 6 arrested accused. Railway SP Amritendu Shekhar Thakur said- The leader of this gang is Roshan Kumar (resident of Mansoorganj Devi Sthan, Chowk). He used to give one thousand rupees daily to the gang members for stealing and snatching mobile phones. At present, the leader has not been arrested. GRP is conducting raids in search of him.
According to the Railway SP, given Pitru Paksha and the upcoming festival, the police are conducting special checking campaigns to prevent criminal incidents in police stations and trains. During the checking, two persons were found sitting in a suspicious condition at the eastern end of platform number one of Rajendra Nagar station. On seeing the police, both of them tried to run away. The soldiers caught them.
During interrogation, one of them told his name as Shahnawaz (Station Road Khusrupur) and the other as Mohd. Sultan (Khairwa, Madhuban, East Champaran). During the search, two stolen mobile phones were recovered from both of them. The accused said that their gang includes Roshan Kumar, Masoom Raj, Shravan Kumar, Kundan Kumar Mishra and Mohd. Sahil. On the information given by both of them, Railway Police arrested Masoom Raj, a resident of Ajnaura of Nalanda district, and Shravan Kumar, a resident of Tekari of Gaya district.

Three stolen mobile phones, a charger, a watch, and Rs 250 were recovered from these two. During interrogation, these two accused said that two of their accomplices were sitting in the waiting room of Rajendra Nagar station and were planning to commit a theft. Railway police conducted a raid and arrested Kundan Kumar Mishra, a resident of Govinddodih of Chakai police station area of Jamui, and a minor. Two mobile phones were also recovered from these two. At present, the search for the gang leader Roshan Kumar is on.
