They are slapping her repeatedly and parading her in the city while pulling her hair. The video is from Barhaj town of Deoria. The police have taken cognizance of this video viral on social media and started investigating the case. However, the victim or the accused have not been identified yet.

According to the police, the victim has not yet complained to the police. According to Barhaj Kotwal Rahul Singh, some women were traveling in an e-rickshaw. Meanwhile, some women accused a woman of chain snatching. When the ruckus increased, the woman got down from the e-rickshaw and started running. In such a situation, all the women ran and caught the woman and slapped her, pulled her hair, and made her parade on the road in that condition for about an hour.

Someone from the crowd captured the entire incident on his mobile phone camera and after a while posted it on the social media platform X, tagging the Deoria police. After this, Deoria police took cognizance of the matter and started an investigation. According to Barhaj Kotwal Rahul Singh, no complaint has been received regarding this incident so far. However, the police are investigating the viral video at its level. In this, the police are trying to identify the accused and the victim women. A policeman is also seen in the viral video, but he too seems to be a mute spectator.
