A bullion trader was shot during a robbery in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, five days ago. The police were immediately informed about the incident, but the police suppressed the matter. Now, when the trader died and the uproar started, the SSP was informed about the incident. He considered the role of the inspector in this case suspicious and ordered an investigation. The incident took place in Katra in the Aonla police station area of the district. On the other hand, the bullion traders of the district have warned of agitation, demanding action against the inspector and the arrest of the robbers.
According to the police, bullion trader Srikant Patil, who lives near Ramlila Gate in Katra, was sleeping in his house five days ago. Meanwhile, robbers came to his neighborhood and started breaking the lock to enter the house. Hearing the sound of rattling, he came out caught hold of a miscreant, and started shouting. In such a situation, the robber shot him to escape from his clutches and fled from the spot. The businessman, who was badly injured in this incident, was taken to the hospital by the local people, where he died on Tuesday during treatment.
Amla inspector accused of negligence.
As soon as the rest of the traders got this news, they all reached the SSP office in anger. The bullion traders said that a complaint was given to the Amla Inspector immediately after the incident. At that time, he took the matter lightly, and even when they all together complained the next day, he did not take any action. The captain himself expressed surprise at this complaint. In fact, the inspector himself did not inform him about such a big incident. After listening to the complaints of the traders, he has ordered an investigation into the matter. He has handed over the responsibility of the investigation to SP Rural Anjani Verma.
Protested by keeping the market closed
On the other hand, the traders protested by keeping the market closed as no action was taken against the inspector and the robbers were not arrested. The police have now registered a murder case against the accused in this case. On the other hand, the family members of the deceased bullion trader Shrikant Patil said that he was originally from Maharashtra and had been doing business here for a long time. The family members said that after the post-mortem, they would take the body to Maharashtra and perform the last rites there. According to the family members, their family has been in a panic since the death of Shrikant Patil.

Now his family consists of his wife, a son, and a daughter.
