First meeting of ANRF Governing Board in Delhi, chaired by PM Narendra Modi

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the first governing board meeting of ANRF i.e. Anusandhan National Research Foundation in New Delhi. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and senior officials of various departments were present at this meeting. Apart from them, senior officials including the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government, Ajay Kumar Sood, also participated in this meeting.

During this meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given detailed information about the research and development work in various universities, colleges, research institutes, and R&D laboratories of the country. Officials from various educational and research institutes were present here. They gave information about the research and development work in their respective institutes.

This foundation has taken a special initiative in the field of education and research. Under this, research and development work is promoted. ANRF was established on the recommendation of the National Education Policy 2020. Its objective is to promote the culture of research and innovation in the universities, colleges, and research institutes of the country. The National Research Foundation acts as an apex body to provide a high-level strategy for scientific research in the country.

It was established under the ANRF Act of 2023. It addresses the challenges faced in the field of research in the country and solves many problems in the field of higher education. Under this initiative, researchers are provided facilities and advice from experts in various fields.
