Good news for 32 lakh elderly people of UP!
UP Old Age Pension: Good news has come for 32 lakh elderly people in Uttar Pradesh and the government is going to send the first installment of old age pension by July 31. Let us tell you that 52 lakh elderly people get old age pension in UP, but till June 15, the first installment was transferred
Special arrangements have been made in the CDO office for the 32 lakh elderly people in Uttar Pradesh who have not received the first installment of old age pension till now. Till now there was a problem in verification of the Aadhar card and linking the NPCI account with the bank on the NPCI portal, due to which the amount of old age pension could not be transferred. Now the officers of the Social Welfare Department claim that the first installment will be sent to 32 lakh beneficiaries by July 31.
It is necessary to link the bank account on the NPCI portal.
The central and state governments now transfer any kind of benefit directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. For this, it is necessary to link the bank accounts of the beneficiaries to the NPCI portal and instructions have been given for this. In such a situation, those beneficiaries whose bank accounts have not been linked to the NPCI portal yet, must get it done. For this, they will have to go to their bank and submit an application to link the bank account to the NPCI portal along with an Aadhaar card and PAN card.
A special counter has been opened in the CDO office.
To help the elderly, special arrangements have been made in the CDO office and a counter has been opened where employees of the Indian Post Payment and Pension Section are deployed. If an elderly person is unable to get an Aadhaar verification or NPCI link done with the bank, then these employees will help them. Along with this, if necessary, a new account will be opened in the post office fulfilling all the standards for pension, so that they can easily get old age pension.
Beneficiaries will get 3-3 thousand rupees.
On June 15, three thousand rupees were to be sent as the first installment of the old age pension, but due to most of the bank accounts not being linked to the NPCI portal, the pension amount could not be sent to about 32 lakh beneficiaries. Due to this, many beneficiaries are constantly making rounds to the office of the Social Welfare Department. However, now there is a matter of relief for them and the remaining beneficiaries will be sent the old age pension money directly to their accounts in the next one week.
