Rahul alias Bholu was identified after searching the jail records

The student was raped and murdered in Vasalad on November 14

Valsad police were investigating this murder and rape case. CCTV footage near the railway track was checked and a man wearing the same T-shirt and carrying the same bag was seen in the parking camera. After this, the footage of the accused was sent to the police at all the railway stations in Gujarat. During this, more than two thousand CCTV footages were scanned. During the investigation, the police came to know that the accused was lodged in Jodhpur Central Jail in a theft case.
The family had thrown him out of the house because of theft
He was released on bail in May. Investigation revealed that the accused is originally from Rohtak in Haryana. A police team also went to Rohtak, but it was found that the accused had not visited Haryana for many years because his family had thrown him out of the house many years ago due to incidents of theft.
Horoscope generated from e-prison software
Meanwhile, the Valsad SP sent the footage to the Jodhpur jail superintendent and sought information about him. The horoscope of the accused was extracted with the help of e-prison software. It was found that Rahul Jat was caught in Gadra Road, Barmer in February. He was accused of stealing on a train. He was arrested and sent to Barmer jail. Due to overcrowding there, he was shifted to Jodhpur Central Jail. Since he got bail in the theft case, he was released from Jodhpur jail in May.

According to Valsad police, accused Rahul has confessed that a day before the Valsad incident, he had killed a woman during a robbery in Telangana's Secunderabad. Earlier, in October, he had raped and murdered a woman on a train near Solapur railway station in Maharashtra. In October, he stabbed an elderly man to death after robbing him near Howrah station in West Bengal.
13 cases of theft registered against serial killer Rahul
In October itself, he had stabbed a passenger to death at Mulki station in Karnataka over a trivial matter of not giving him a beedi. The accused commits crimes of theft and robbery. There are 13 cases of theft registered against him in different states. He used to steal valuables from passengers travelling in trains, especially at night. He has also gone to jail in Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand for stealing oil from trucks and for illegal weapons.
Serial killer's photo and horoscope found in e-prison software
Valsad SP had asked me for the photo and details of Rahul alias Bholu. Police were facing a lot of difficulty in identifying this serial killer. Then when I checked the jail's e-prison software, I came to know that he was brought to Jodhpur jail from Barmer jail on 18 February in a robbery case. He was released on bail on 8 May on the orders of the court.
Earlier he was involved in crimes like theft and robbery. After coming out of Jodhpur jail, Bholu became a serial killer. Gujarat police sent videos to verify him. We sent his photo, information and other information available in the records including the names and numbers of his family members. With the help of this, Gujarat police succeeded in catching such a serial killer.
